In 1981, Eng. Bahaa Shalaby established MB Engineering as a value-added distributor of low voltage electrical components to the Egyptian Market.
In 2012, MB Engineering changed its legal status to an Egyptian Joint Stock Company (S.A.E.) under Law No. 95 of 1992 from a Limited Liability Company to initiate its backward integration by acquiring 90% of MB Industrial. The Company has an extensive solid network and acts as an add-on value distributor in a fragmented market with few structured competitors.
Due to the Company’s strong historical foot-print in the market, MB Engineering have an extensive distribution network with 310 active points of sales across Egypt that are mainly reached via the Company’s distributional fleet and wholesalers. The Company distinguishes itself through its excellent capabilities to provide additional services to the products in the form of marketing, sales, logistics, pricing, product positioning, technical solutions, and pre and post sales.
MB Industrial is one of two Hager authorized ‘Panel Builder’s outside of Europe, allowing MB Industrial to autonomously manufacture electrical panels for its customers.
